On June 22, 2018, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity ended in its 65th version, the largest advertising festival in the world that took place in Cannes, France. Colombia obtained a historic result with 23 metals, 2 of them Grand Prix and a gold in Young Lions.
In this version of the WINA the juries in charge of choosing the winning works were from countries such as Japan, the United States, Mexico, Israel, Bolivia, Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, Spain, Costa Rica, Guatemala, the United Kingdom, Ecuador, Argentina, Germany, China, Russia, Hungary, Peru, Paraguay, Australia, Romania, Uruguay, South Africa and South Korea.
The latter with a friend of the house. Camilo Jiménez, better known as the old “Sazky”, a former PVS, a tireless creative, stubborn, but above all passionate about advertising and design. Who this time putting his face for the young creatives of Colombia won a gold in the Young Lions Design category.
PVS spoke with Sazky and this is what he told us:
WHAT WAS THE FIRST THING THAT CAME TO MIND WHEN YOUR NAME WAS MENTIONED IN THE AWARD?
Well, I don’t know if they saw the video of the right moment, there is no need to turn up the volume a lot because I screamed very loud, in fact the one who is heard is me haha, it came out of the soul because I seriously dreamed of winning, then the moment comes when The one who went up to receive the diploma and collapsed, I could not contain the crying, I could not believe it.
WHO WAS THE FIRST PERSON YOU CALLED IN COLOMBIA AND WHY?
My mother, as a strange thing, did not answer hahaha, then I called my girlfriend and the same thing happened (then I realized that it was very early in Colombia) and then my friend and boss received the call the “emo” The CCO of MullenLowe (the agency I work for) and I told him everything, we couldn’t believe it.
WHAT DOES IT FEEL TO BEAT ALL THE YOUNGS IN THE WORLD?
The truth is that it gives me a little freshness that you cannot imagine, now, I do not think I am better than the rest of the world, in fact from what I could see from the other participants, I feel that there were very serious proposals, very good executions, but that unfortunately they did not solve the real problem of the brief. in fact there is a very good anecdote behind this because I thought we were not going to win, Giovanni always had faith, I must clarify that, but I came out saying “we lost, China will win, no, let’s comb our hair” because China was sitting right next to us and when I went to the bathroom or to have coffee, my gaze would go away, and inside I said “Fuck, you can’t see anything but from what little you see, it looks incredible”, the press came and interviewed them, passed people and they took photos, they recorded them hahaha, imagine how we felt. Then we already know the result and they were not in the top 3.
IN PVS WE REMEMBER HIM A LOT AND MANY OF OUR CREATIVES ADMIRATE YOUR WORK, WHAT COULD BE THAT MESSAGE FOR THE GUYS WHO WANT TO GO FAR IN THIS INDUSTRY?

hahahahaha Morrocoya, was the key word. PVS was the first agency that believed in me, it was my first home, and my best memory, they are all the people with whom we coincide in that present, they became my second family since I had left my first in Ibagué, they don’t know how much I want this agency and how much I owe them.
AFTER THIS GREAT ACHIEVEMENT, WHAT NEXT?
More of the same continues, this was just a consequence of a year of work, but Cannes is every year and you always have to do incredible work, not only to win festivals but to change lives.
